Silkworms

May 20th

So that lovely weather we had before the long weekend didn’t last and it was a very wet holiday for us all.  Well at least it’s beautiful outside now!  In the Pre-K class this week we have been busy practicing for our June Graduation performance.  Just a reminder that it will take place June 1st in the basement gym and it will start at 10:00am.  After the Pre-K performance there will be graduations for the Kindergarten and Grade 6 students along with a musical number performed by the orchestra.

Our silkworms are growing very fast and I am hoping that before they make their cocoons each child will get to take it home for one night.  I have started sending them home with one student a night.   It has been a great learning experience watching them grow and change.  Everyone looks forward to seeing how much they change each day.
